Vehicle, Vehicle chassis and drivetrain module

A low-profile vehicle chassis 100 and a drivetrain module 110 are provided. The low-profile vehicle chassis 100 comprises: an upper side 107; a lower side 108 spaced from the upper side and a cavity 109 defined between the upper and lower sides 107, 108 of the chassis 100. At least one drivetrain and/or power component 110 is contained within the cavity 109. The chassis may comprise various sections 102-106 as separate box structures connected together via fastening means. At least one of the sections includes a drivetrain module 110 for an electric vehicle. The drivetrain module 110 comprises: a housing 111; at least one electric motor 112 within the housing 111; a gearbox 113 within the housing 111 and having an input connected to the at least one electric motor 112 to receive drive from the at least one electric motor 112; and at least one drive shaft 114 connected to an output of the gearbox 1123 to transmit mechanical drive from the gearbox 113. An electric vehicle including such a chassis and/or such a drivetrain module is also provided.
