The invention relates to a multipart mould for producing containers provided with a handle by a forming process from thermally conditioned preforms of a thermoplastic material, in particular of PET, wherein the mould has at least two mould halves, wherein the mould halves are arranged movably in relation to one another and are formed such that they can be positioned from a closed position into an open position along a positioning path of movement, wherein the mould halves in their closed position lie against one another along a parting plane and enclose a cavity and provide an inner contour, against which the preform is expanded under pressure by a forming medium being introduced, and so the finished container that has expanded in the mould has an outer contour which complements the inner contour of the mould, wherein the inner contour of the mould has a handle fastening region, which is contoured for the formation of a fastening contour on the finished container for the attachment of a handle to the container after it has been removed from the mould, wherein the handle fastening region is formed as an undercut that can be engaged from behind in the radial direction and is designed to follow the path of positioning movement in the circumferential direction of the container, and so, when the mould is opened, the handle fastening region can slide out of the fastening contour formed in a complementary manner on the container.
