Disclosed is a wearable electronic device, a gesture detection method therefor and a gesture detection program therefor, wherein second light having a second wavelength band is detected to thereby detect a gesture. In this process, the illuminance of first light having a first wavelength band including at least a band not overlapping the second wavelength band is measured, and, when a result of this measurement is equal to or greater than a threshold, the gesture detection is disabled. Therefore, the wearable electronic device, the gesture detection method therefor and the gesture detection program therefor make it possible to reduce an erroneous detection of a gesture.
