The subject of the invention is a primary structure of an aircraft mast which comprises: - upper and lower spars (52, 54), - right and left side panels (56, 58), - transverse reinforcements (60 ) arranged in transverse planes, each having a square or rectangular outline and at least one sole (64) against which are fixed the upper and lower side members (52, 54) as well as the right and left side panels (56, 58), - at least one of the transverse reinforcements (60) of the primary structure (50) comprising first and second connecting rods (66, 68), oriented along diagonals of the transverse reinforcement (60), as well as connecting systems connecting each of the first and second ends (66.1, 66.2, 68.1, 68.2) of the first and second connecting rods (66, 68) to the sole (64) or to one of the sole (64). The invention also relates to an aircraft comprising a such primary structure.
