The present invention concerns a pharmaceutical composition comprising an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor and a 5-HT₄ receptor agonist, for use as neuroprotective agent in the prevention and/or treatment of a neurodegenerative disease. It also concerns a neuroprotective pharmaceutical combination comprising an acetylcholinesterase inhibitor and a 5-HT₄ receptor agonist for simultaneous, separate or sequential use as neuroprotective agent in the prevention and/or treatment of a neurodegenerative disease.
