The invention relates to a method for determining a route for a hybrid vehicle. The method minimizes energy consumption while checking constraints, in particular concerning the state of charge of the battery, and / or its variations. It is based on an energy consumption model (MOD) comprising a thermal model and an electric model as well as an energy management law (GEST). It also integrates the construction of an extended assistant graph (GRAPH), for which a change of state of charge of the battery is assigned to each arc, allowing the calculation of the fuel consumption (QCONSO) on each arc of the extended assistant graph. The method also includes a route finding step (ITI) using a shortest path algorithm and a posteriori stress check. The invention also relates to a computer program product comprising program code instructions for the implementation of the route determination method.
