An information pushing method, comprising: when a terminal enters a wireless network coverage area, the terminal obtaining a device MAC address broadcasted by the wireless network; the terminal comparing the obtained MAC address with a MAC address in a MAC address list stored on the terminal, and when the obtained MAC address is in the MAC address list, the terminal obtaining a wireless network identifier corresponding to the MAC address from correspondence relationships between MAC addresses and wireless network identifiers; the terminal initiating a connection request to a wireless network corresponding to the MAC address by using the obtained wireless network identifier; and in response to that the terminal is successfully connected to the wireless network corresponding to the MAC address by using the obtained wireless network identifier, the terminal receiving push information sent by a network device, a different terminal, or a server.
