摘要

To provide novel PQQ-dependent aldehyde dehydrogenases having high affinity for aldehydes and being suitable for quantitative analysis in which the enzyme reaction is performed according to the Michaelis-Menten equation, and also to provide biosensors and biobatteries which use the physicochemical properties of the PQQ-dependent aldehyde dehydrogenases.SOLUTION: Described herein are PQQ-dependent aldehyde dehydrogenases with specific amino acid sequences that are found in a metagenomic gene information library in which base sequences of genomic DNAs extracted from ranch compost and ocean water are analyzed, and in which the enzyme reaction is performed according to the Michaelis-Menten equation. Also described herein are biosensors and biobatteries which use the physicochemical properties of the PQQ-dependent aldehyde dehydrogenases.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 14
