To provide a new oil-water separation procedure capable of changing water-soluble oil solution into a liquid material in which oil-water separation is generated, inexpensively in a short time.SOLUTION: When subjecting water-soluble oil solution to oil-water separation, the water-soluble oil solution is input into a hollow treatment container so that a gap is allowed to remain in a container area. Then, under a sealed state of the treatment container, a temperature of the container inside is raised up to 150-180°C, and an elevated temperature state is maintained over a handling time of 20-60 minutes. After elapse of the handling time, treated liquid in the treatment container, and water vapor in the gap over the liquid surface of the treated liquid, are discharged to the outside individually respectively.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
