PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cantilever structure which can be used as an internal structure of a key, and an operation device using the cantilever structure, in order to achieve miniaturization and cost reduction of the operation device. A cantilever structure 24 according to the present invention has a plate portion 28 having an upper surface 36, a lower surface, a first side surface 40a, and a second side surface 40b which is a side surface 40 opposite to the first side surface, and one end thereof. The plate portion 28 is provided with a support portion 30 which is connected to the end on the first side surface 40a side and the other end is fixed. The plate portion 28 can swing because the support portion 30 bends due to its elasticity. When the plate portion 28 is viewed from the second side surface 40b side, the thickness of the plate portion 28 varies depending on the location. Preferably, when the plate portion 28 is viewed from the second side surface 40b side, the thickness of the plate portion 28 is maximum at a position where the plate portion 28 is connected to the support portion 30.
