METHOD FOR PRODUCING TRANSFORMED PLANT OF GENUS TARAXACUM

To provide a method for efficiently producing a transformed plant of genus Taraxacum in a short period of time.SOLUTION: The method comprises: an infection step of infecting a tissue piece derived from a plant of the genus Taraxacum with a target gene or a fragment thereof and Agrobacterium tumefaciens carrying a plasmid including a hygromycin resistance gene; a selective cultivation step of selecting tissue pieces acquired the target gene from tissue pieces obtained by the infection step; a callus induction step of forming callus by the tissue pieces obtained in the selective cultivation step in a callus induction medium containing a cytokinin-based plant hormone, an auxin-based plant hormone, and a carbon source; a regeneration induction step where the callus obtained in the callus induction step is made to form an adventive embryo, an adventitious bud and a shoot in a regeneration induction medium containing a plant growth hormone and a carbon source; and a rooting step of culturing the shoot obtained in the regeneration induction step in a rooting medium.SELECTED DRAWING: None
