PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate rice production place with higher accuracy, and with a capability to suppress variations of stable isotope ratios of oxygen, carbon, hydrogen and the like measured from rice.SOLUTION: Three or more rice grains selected from the rice to be analyzed are powdered by a powder vessel 10 and uniformly mixed to prepare a powder sample S. Based on gas obtained by burning the obtained powder sample S by a stable isotope ratio analyzer 20, a stable isotope ratio relating to at least one of hydrogen, carbon, and oxygen is measured.
