To provide a method and a composition which are useful in regenerating damaged, lost and/or degenerated tissue in humans and animals.SOLUTION: There is provided an acellular and bioabsorbable tissue regeneration matrix, which is created by incubating a product induced from acellular blood for a period sufficient for forming a matrix. There are also provided a method for fabricating such a matrix and a method of using such a matrix for regenerating damaged, lost and/or degenerated tissue. In a specific embodiment, the method and the composition of the present invention are useful for treatment of damaged, lost and/or degenerated nerve tissue.SELECTED DRAWING: None
