MRGPRX2 / MRGPRB2-expressing cell-based assay for detecting pseudoallergic drug reactions and identifying blockers to prevent adverse reactions

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for reducing the severity of pseudoallergic reaction and a screening test for finding an antagonist which blocks these responses. SOLUTION: A recombinant cell expressing a mass-related G protein-coupled receptor X2 (MrgprX2) or MrgprB2, and a step of contacting the cell with a candidate compound and a step of detecting activation of MrgprX2 or MrgprB2. Thus, activation of MrgprX2 or MrgprB2 comprises a step of determining that the candidate compound induces a pseudoallergic reaction, a method for determining whether a compound induces a pseudoallergic reaction.
