To provide pharmaceuticals, quasi drugs, cosmetics and food and drink compositions exerting excellent prevention, treatment or inhibitory effects on allergic diseases such as allergic rhinitis and atopic dermatitis based on the interleukin-33 (IL-33) production inhibitory action.SOLUTION: The invention provides an IL-33 production inhibitor comprising 4'-demthylnobiletin as an effective ingredient, and a pharmaceutical, a quasi drug, a cosmetic and a food and drink composition for preventing, treating or inhibiting allergic diseases such as allergic rhinitis and atopic dermatitis related to the increase of IL-33. Since 4'-demthylnobiletin is one of the metabolic products of nobiletin which is an ingredient of citrus peel and has long been ingested as a food component, the pharmaceuticals, quasi drugs, cosmetics and food and drink compositions of the invention are highly safe and free of side effects.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
