A liquid crystal polyester film having a low coefficient of linear expansion and high mechanical strength. A liquid crystal polyester film including at least a liquid crystal polyester, the liquid crystal polyester film having at least a first direction relative to a first direction parallel to a main surface of the liquid crystal polyester film and a first degree of orientation of the liquid crystal polyester. The ratio of the second degree of orientation of the liquid crystal polyester to the second direction perpendicular to the second direction is 0.95 to 1.04, and is measured in a direction parallel to the main surface 2 by a wide-angle X-ray scattering method.
