To provide a durable golf ball incorporating a white-pigmented layer possessing an effect of excellent dual inter-layer/intra-layer adhesion by performing processing therefor.SOLUTION: A golf ball comprises a first layer having a first polymeric composition, and a second layer which is adjacent to the first layer and comprises a second polymeric composition that is different from the first polymeric composition and comprises, throughout, (i) a plurality of passivated TiOparticulates in an amount from about 1 wt.% to 10 wt.% based on the total weight of the second polymeric composition and (ii) a silane-containing adhesion promoter, such that a given amount of the silane-containing adhesion promoter within the range from about 0.1 wt.% to about 5.0 wt.% has a first required amount of free functional groups required to bond the second layer and the first layer at an interface thereof in addition to a second required amount of functional groups required to bond and crosslink ingredients within the second polymeric composition of the second layer. Neither layer is surface-treated with at least one silane-containing adhesion promoter, nor is a tie layer disposed therebetween.SELECTED DRAWING: None
