PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vibration suppressing device for a governor rope capable of adjusting a frictional force generated between a friction body and a base body to an appropriate size. SOLUTION: A vibration suppressing device for a governor rope is connected to a base body connected to the governor rope, a movable body connected to a cage and movable with respect to the base body, and moved to the base body integrally with the movable body.
