Disclosed are substances and methods that target congenital and acquired metabolic dysfunction, as well as methods of producing such substances. In particular, the present invention relates to a method for producing a molecularly imprinted polymer having a high binding ability to phenylalanine or tyrosine, a MIP that binds to phenylalanine or tyrosine, and a method for treating phenylketonuria, alkaptonuria and hypertyrosinemia.
