To simplify automatic flanging without sacrificing the precision.SOLUTION: In a flanging system, a flanging tool (10) and a flanging drive (20) are supported within a flanging unit such that a drive force to be applied for the purpose of driving and a flanging force to be exerted on a flange by a flanging element (12) for the purpose of flanging are absorbed within the flanging unit.
