The cutting tool body is configured to secure a cutting insert with a female thread. The cutting tool body includes a machined end and a tool peripheral surface extending from the machined end. The cutting tool body further includes a threadless tool connecting hole that opens through the tool peripheral surface and a connecting screw having a connecting screw thread. The connecting screw is placed in the tool connecting hole and is configured to secure the cutting insert.
