A device for monitoring the operating status of a machine is disclosed. The device is located close to the voice detector, the machine, and includes a configuration to collect multiple voice signals from the machine in real time. The device also includes a processor coupled to an electroacoustic detector. The processor is configured to get one or more predefined sound analysis models associated with the machine. The processor is also configured to analyze multiple audio signals based on one or more predefined sound analysis models. The processor is also configured to identify machine operating conditions and one or more predefined sound analysis models based on the analysis results. The device also includes a voice analysis system that is further configured to update one or more predefined voice analysis models based on multiple voice signals.
