To provide a lifting device of a heavy load capable of increasing a moving distance per one time lifting of a lifting object.SOLUTION: The heavy load lifting device for conveying a heavy load by suspending it, includes: a first rail being approximately horizontal; a second rail being approximately horizontal whose one end is supported by the first rail; a first gate type structure supporting one end of the first rail; a second gate type structure supporting the other end of the first rail; a supporting member supporting the other end of the second rail; a first trolley moving on the first rail; a second trolley moving on the second rail; a third trolley by which the first rail and the second rail can be transferred; and a lifting machine provided on each trolley to lift the heavy load.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
