To provide a tape removing method and the like with which winding of a wound metal band around a coil bobbin is realized in a short time.SOLUTION: The tape removing method is a tape removing method for removing a tape 60 that connects an end of the outermost peripheral section 51 of a wound metal band to an inner section 54 of the metal band located inside the end. An adhesive section 62 and a non-adhesive section 61 are formed on one surface of the tape. The end and the inner section 54 are connected by the adhesive section 62. The tape 60 is removed from the metal band in a manner where the wound metal band and a tape removal tool 1 having an insertion part 3 are relatively moved in the circumferential direction of the metal band, and the insertion part 3 is inserted into a gap between the non-adhesive section 61 and the metal band.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
