The present invention relates to a photo-alignment composition for aligning a liquid crystal and stabilizing a pretilt angle in a liquid crystal layer. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a liquid crystal alignment film and a coating layer prepared from the composition, and to use for producing optical and electro-optical elements and devices.
