To solve such a problem that, in a secondary battery including a pair of separators (ceramic separators) which are bonded while the separators sandwich an electrode (in detail, a current collector of an electrode) therebetween, bonding with a double sided tape or an adhesive may cause deterioration with time in a substrate of the double sided tape or the adhesive, so that safety of the secondary battery and heat resistance of the separators cannot be ensured.SOLUTION: A pair of separators 30 are formed to be larger than a current collector of an electrode 20 (for example, a negative electrode current collector 22-1). In the pair of separators 30 sandwiching the current collector of an electrode (the negative electrode current collector 22-1) therebetween, part or all of outer peripheral edges 30A', 30B' of the separators, the outer peripheral edges not sandwiching the electrode, are pressure welded to be bonded to each other at a pressure welded portion 40 where the outer peripheral edges are pressure welded. The pressure welded portion 40 is formed, during a pressure welding step, by being pressure welded by a pressure welding surface of the pressure welded portion of an upper mold and a pressure welding surface of a lower mold.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
