PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a β type Ti-based superelastic alloy showing superelasticity in a β type Ti- based alloy, and a method for producing the β type Ti-based superelastic alloy.SOLUTION: Provided is a β type Ti-based superelastic alloy satisfying Ti-X1mol%Cr-X2mol% and also satisfying all the conditions of 4.0≤X1≤6.0, 4.0≤X2≤6.0, 9.0≤X1+X2≤10.5 and 0.8≤X1/X2≤1.5. Also provided is a method for producing the β type Ti-based superplastic alloy containing: an intermediate material production step of producing an intermediate material as an alloy having a composition same as that of the above β type Ti-based superplastic alloy and in a state before cold working; and a cold working step of performing cold working to the intermediate material with the temperature of the working member in the member in contact with the intermediate material as 313 to 353 K and the average temperature in the cold working as 293 to 393 K.SELECTED DRAWING: None
