The present disclosure relates to biocompatible conductive biomaterials capable of retaining the potential of cardiac impulses. The biomaterial comprises a conductive polymer and a biocompatible component. The conductive polymer comprises an aminomethoxybenzoic acid (AMBA) polymer.
