PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a run-flat radial tire with a relatively high tire cross section height, capable of enhancing run-flat durability while maintaining a riding comfort.SOLUTION: A run-flat radial tire comprises: a carcass 14 straddling between a pair of bead parts 12; a side reinforcing rubber 24 provided on a tire side part 22 extending in a tire radial direction along an internal surface of the carcass 14; and a belt layer 16 provided outside the carcass 14 in the tire radial direction. The run-flat radial tire has a tire cross section height SH of 145 mm or higher, and when assembled to a rim 30 (standard rim), applied with a standard air pressure, in no load state, a position where a thickness of the side reinforcing rubber 24 is greatest is arranged within a range between 0.1H and 0.7H from a reference point O along the carcass 14, where H is a length from the reference point, at which a line drawn from a maximum width position 22C of the tire in a tire width direction crosses the carcass 14, to an end of the tire width direction of the belt layer 16 along the carcass 14.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
