PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of accurately estimating characteristics of a deteriorated power storage device and appropriately selecting capacity of the power storage device.SOLUTION: A method of the present invention is a method of making simulation using an equivalent circuit model of a power storage device and selecting capacity of the power storage device on the basis of a result of the simulation, and includes a step of calculating a terminal voltage V(t) of the equivalent circuit model on the basis of a current I(t) flowing through the equivalent circuit model. The equivalent circuit model includes a plurality of characteristic parameters. At least one of the characteristic parameters includes a time function representing effect of deterioration of the power storage device. The time function has a term including time integral of a numerical value representing operational state of the power storage device, and a coefficient representing a deterioration speed multiplied by the time integral.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
