A method of preparing a liquid exchanged biological fraction is provided. Aspects of the present disclosure according to a particular embodiment include introducing the biological sample into a centrifuge container with a buoy, exposing the biological sample to centrifugal force to produce two or more fractions in the biological sample, and living from the container. It involves collecting the first fraction of the sample and introducing the liquid exchange fluid into a container to produce a liquid exchange fraction that is a mixture of the liquid exchange fluid and the second fraction of the biological sample. Also provided are a composition comprising a liquid exchanged platelet-rich plasma fluid and a kit for carrying out embodiments of the subject method.
