PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leaf vegetable cleaning method capable of removing a foreign matter from the vegetable by a small-sized apparatus without damaging texture.SOLUTION: A cleaning method of a leaf vegetable V includes steps of: conveying the leaf vegetable placed on a conveyor 10; and spraying cleaning liquid L from a spray part 40 arranged over the conveyor toward a cleaning treatment surface 12 on the conveyor. In the step for spraying the cleaning liquid, the cleaning liquid is sprayed toward a spray region 45 having a circular or polygonal surface shape on the cleaning treatment surface.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
