To allow a shopper to determine a privilege such as points by considering factors other than the number of commodities to be purchased among factors affecting a time of a checkout operation performed by the shopper using a self register.SOLUTION: A checkout processor includes: a purchased commodity identification part that identifies a purchased commodity in checkout processing by a shopper's checkout operation; a reference time information acquisition part that acquires information indicating a reference time set for the purchased commodity among reference times set in advance for respective commodities; a time detection part that detects a time required for the checkout processing; a privilege determination part that determines a privilege for the shopper based on a comparison of the reference time set for the purchased commodity and the time required for the checkout processing; and a presentation part that presents the privilege to the shopper.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
