Automatic collimation method and automatic collimation device for measuring the placement position of structures

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic collimation method with a surveying instrument and an automatic collimation device for combining a measuring function and an imaging function of the surveying instrument to recognize the shape of an image obtained by photographing a measuring object, and specifying the position of an object the shape of which has been recognized.SOLUTION: Structures or an area including the structures are/is photographed with an imaging device 3 built in a surveying instrument 2, and image recognition processing is performed on a photographed image by a calculator 4 to recognize marks 12 having a predetermined shape and hue. The directions of the positions of the marks 12 are transmitted to the surveying instrument 2, and the surveying instrument 2 measures the distances to the marks 12. The measurement data is used for calculation performed by the calculator 4 of displacement of the position of one of the structures, and is compared with a design value to calculate positional displacement. A result of calculation is displayed on a display 9 to an operator in an easily understandable manner.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
