The present invention relates to an autonomous device (10) for measuring in a flow direction at least one property of a fluid circulating in a conduit. The autonomous device comprises a permanent magnetic field source, a magnetoelectric converter (2), and a processing circuit (12a) that can use the charge provided by the magnetoelectric converter to measure its surrounding properties. The permanent magnetic field source and the magnetoelectric converter are arranged on a stator (12) and a rotor (11) forming an autonomous device. In addition, the autonomous device may have the stator (12) fixedly mounted in the conduit (14) or at one end of the conduit (14) such that the axis of rotation of the rotor (11) is parallel to the flow direction. It further comprises a possible attachment means (13). Furthermore, the invention relates to a control system using at least one of the autonomous devices (10).
