PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emergency notification system which advises a train driver urgently about an emergency arising in a railroad crossing even if a user, that is, a first reporter, cannot move quickly and yet weakens a possibility that the emergency notification system is abused.SOLUTION: A railroad crossing emergency notification system comprises a terminal device, access point devices, a router, a railroad crossing information server, a railroad crossing controller and a special signal light emitter. When a user finds an emergency in a railroad crossing and operates the access point device to notify the emergency, this operation makes the terminal device send an emergency notifying signal containing a signal announcing the emergency in the railroad crossing and a validity signal to indicate validity of the sending terminal device. This notifying signal reaches the server through the access point devices and the router. The server functioning as a validity determination device judges the validity of the sending terminal device based on the validity signal contained in the notifying signal sent by the terminal device. If the server decides that the sending terminal device of emergency notification is valid, then the server makes the controller, that is, an alarm output device, deliver alarms to express that an emergency arises in the railroad crossing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
