A method for providing a quantitative volume evaluation of an organ health state or a quantitative map of an organ. The method is provided for obtaining a volume map of organ health including information defining tissue health over at least a portion of the organ, and receiving input defining at least one organ area. Determining an estimated organ volume based at least in part on at least one organ area; and determining an estimated organ volume based at least in part on information in a volume map that defines tissue health over the organ volume. Calculating an organ viability scale of the subject, and outputting an indication of the organ viability scale.
