To provide a superconducting single photon detection system and a superconducting single photon detection method capable of acquiring an auto-correction function which is easily observed in a shorter time domain while suppressing a reduction of the amount of incident light.SOLUTION: A superconducting single photon detection system includes a plurality of superconducting single photon detectors, and a signal processing circuit for receiving detection signals respectively outputted from the plurality of superconducting single photon detectors and performing signal processing on the basis of the received detection signals. The signal processing circuit includes: a first processing circuit 11 for performing first processing for disabling an input of a signal corresponding to a detection signal from one superconducting single photon detector until signals corresponding to detection signals in the other superconducting single photon detectors are inputted after signal inputs in the case that the signals S1 to S4 corresponding to the detection signal in the one superconducting single photon detector among the plurality of superconducting single photon detectors; and a second processing circuit 12 for performing second processing for multiplexing a plurality of effective signals corresponding to the plurality of superconducting single photon detectors after the first processing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
