PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a superconducting single photon detection system and a superconducting single photon detection method which can downsize the system while stably maintaining very low temperature and obtain high accuracy for detecting photons.;SOLUTION: Superconducting single photon detectors 21 to 24 and a superconducting single flux quantum circuit 30 are connected by AC signal transmission paths. Bias current paths 51 to 54 supplying bias current to the superconducting single photon detectors 21 to 24 are connected to the AC signal transmission paths via high impedance elements 61 to 64.
