PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To update firmware of an IC card reader without labor and without fail regardless of a power saving state of the information processor.SOLUTION: A first electric power management part and a second electric power management part (electric power management parts) change the usage state of the electric powers of a main body (first unit) and an operation unit (second unit) to a state where at least a firmware update controller can execute update processing of firmware. The communication controller (communication unit) of the operation unit establishes a communication between a firmware distribution server device (firmware distributing means) and the operation unit. A firmware update controller executes update processing on received firmware when it receives a request to update the firmware from the firmware distribution server to the card reader (acquisition part).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
