PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrically conductive composition for forming an electric storage device (for example, a non-aqueous electrolyte secondary battery (e.g., a lithium ion secondary battery), an electric double-layer capacitor, and a lithium ion capacitor) having excellent conductivity during a normal operation, exhibiting excellent output characteristics of the storage device, and having a function of increasing an inner resistance when an internal temperature of the storage device increases, the electrically conductive composition giving excellent electric conductivity and safety-related functions of an electric storage device.SOLUTION: The electrically conductive composition comprises an electrically conductive carbon material (A), water-dispersible resin microparticles (B), a water-soluble polyvalent metal compound (C), and an aqueous liquid medium (D), in which a mass ratio (C')/(B') of a mass (C') of metal ions in the water-soluble polyvalent metal compound (C) to a solid content mass (B') of the water-dispersible olefin-based resin microparticles (B) is 0.001 to 0.1 mass%.SELECTED DRAWING: None
