PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an examination method, which may quantitatively detect projection condition of a binding wire 7 inside of a book 20 upon stitching, has no jamming generated, and may execute examination without approach to the wire 7 in a saddle stitch machine 40.SOLUTION: There is provided a saddle stitch book wire configuration examination apparatus 1 for examining configuration of a binding wire 7 inside of a book 20 upon stitching for a saddle stitch machine 40. The saddle stitch book wire configuration examination apparatus 1 is a measuring apparatus 2 obtaining height information of the wire 7 from a book folded paper surface 9 just after stitching in which the wire 7 is hit into a folded product, and the measuring apparatus 2 by a light cutting method with a laser beam 4.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
