PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for automatically adjusting the gap of a rolling roller so that a change of a value of a noodle sheet thickness reflection size may not deviate from a tolerance, by automatically determining the noodle sheet thickness reflection size and the size in the right angle direction in a non-contact manner.SOLUTION: A method for automatically adjusting a noodle sheet thickness comprises: a turning projection step of forming a shadow corresponding to a noodle line thickness in a light receiving unit by two pairs of light emitting units and light receiving units for applying parallel light to make the mutual parallel light be orthogonal, and making it turn with time centering on a single noodle string without changing a relative position of two pairs of the light emitting units and the light receiving units; a size calculation step of outputting a size value corresponding to the thickness of the noodle string portion in the two light receiving units, and finding a minimum value and a simultaneous orthogonal value of the minimum value; a determination condition input step of preliminarily classifying a noodle sheet thickness reflection size into 3-types of being smaller or larger than a right angle direction size, or equivalent thereto, and inputting a normal range of the noodle sheet thickness reflection size; a normal value determination step of comparing the simultaneous orthogonal value of the minimum value and/or the minimum value obtained in the size calculation step according to these 3-types; and a step of adjusting the thickness of the noodle sheet.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
