The invention relates to a device comprising a spinning ring (1), a ring holder (2) and at least one fastening element (3) for attachment to a ringbank of a ring spinning or ring twisting machine. The ring holder (2) can be fixed to the ringbank by means of a spindle of the ring spinning or ring twisting machine, independently of the spinning ring (1), with the fastening element (3). The spinning ring (1) can be attached to the ring holder (2).
