To provide a terahertz generating material such as a sheet or a tray, capable of enhancing freshness maintaining effect of various foods or the like mounted on a sheet by suppressing excess secretion of an ethylene gas and neutralizing the same by reducing transmittance in a frequency (THz) band of a terahertz transmission spectrum, and enhancing absorption of a terahertz wave, and capable of enhancing wave motion of silica effects originally produced by a fine current, such as insecticidal insect proof effect, sleep effect, cosmetic effect, health effect and good taste enhancement effect.SOLUTION: There is provided a terahertz generating material having transmittance of 70±5% to 10±5% in a frequency (THz) 0.4 to 3.5 (wavelength 750 to 86 μm) band of a terahertz transmission spectrum.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
