PURPOSE: To provide external and internal preparations for skin containing an extract of Epiphyllum oxypetalum callus obtained by tissue culture.CONSTITUTION: Provided herein is a callus extract of Epiphyllum oxypetalum or related species, where Epiphyllum oxypetalum is the original species of orchid cacti, and the callus is obtained by callus induction and culturing. The callus extract exhibits an excellent antioxidative effect, collagenase inhibiting effect, whitening effect, filaggrin production promoting effect, anti-inflammatory effect, cell proliferation effect, collagen production promoting effect, and hyaluronic acid production promoting effect.
