To provide a reinforcement method of undercarriage of temporary pier in which a transverse reinforcement material or longitudinal reinforcement material is hung in a stable position from the side of the support pile between adjacent support piles, the support pile being connected to the transverse reinforcement material or the longitudinal reinforcement material by a simple operation without employing on-site welding, thereby efficiently reducing the period of time for reinforcement work of the pier lower part.SOLUTION: The reinforcement method of undercarriage of temporary pier comprises the steps of: previously attaching a mechanical clamping device 50 which is provided with a pair of embracing arms 54, 54 pivotally supported by two hinges to both end portions of the reinforcing member 30; expanding the pair of embracing arms 54, 54 of the clamping device 50 and hanging the same from the lateral side of the support pile 20 to between the adjacent support piles 20 together with the reinforcing material 30; and causing the pair of embracing arms 54 and 54 to hold the support pile 20 to fix the clamping device 50.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
