To improve durability against rupture while suppressing a protruding height of a projection in a metal ring of a belt-type non-stage transmission to a minimum.SOLUTION: An inner peripheral projection 25a is formed on an inner peripheral surface of at least one metal ring 25 among metal rings 25 of multiple layers and an outer peripheral projection 25b is formed on an outer peripheral surface of a metal ring 25 of an outermost layer, such that a crack extending from a surface of the metal rings 25 can be blocked by the inner peripheral projection 25a and the outer peripheral projection 25b. Further, a protruding height of the outer peripheral projection 25b in the metal ring 25 of the outermost layer which is not abutted to the other member is made smaller than a protruding height of the inner peripheral projection 25a abutted to the other member. Therefore, even if the inner peripheral projection 25a having a larger protruding height is worn out by the abutment with the other member, not only the extension of the crack can be blocked while leaving the inner peripheral projection 25a but also flatness of an outer peripheral surface of the metal ring 25 is improved by reducing the protruding height of the outer peripheral projection 25b in which wear-out does not occur, thereby securing lubricity of the metal rings 25 and improving workability.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
