PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dispersion liquid containing surface-modified inorganic particles, in which surface-modified inorganic particles are dispersed in a dispersion medium in a shorter time compared to the prior art and excellent dispersion stability of the dispersion liquid is achieved.SOLUTION: The dispersion liquid containing surface-modified inorganic particles comprises: surface-modified inorganic particles which are surface-modified with at least one of a silane compound having a phenyl group and a silicone compound having a methyl group; and a dispersion medium. The dispersion liquid containing surface-modified inorganic particles contains a sulfate ion by 5 ppm or more and 1000 ppm or less measured by combustion decomposition-ion chromatography; and an average dispersion particle diameter of the surface-modified inorganic particles is 1 nm or more and 50 nm or less.SELECTED DRAWING: None
