Mouthpiece for raising the hyoid bone and method of manufacturing the same

[PROBLEMS] To raise a user's hyoid bone without displacing a lower jaw relative to an upper jaw as in a conventional intraoral device, and thus without imposing a burden on the user. Provided is a mouthpiece for raising the hyoid bone which can improve the symptoms of obstructive sleep apnea syndrome. A mouthpiece for raising a hyoid bone is mounted so as to cover the dentition of the upper or lower jaw of a user, and is configured such that the vertical intermaxillary distance of the user increases by 2 mm or more and 4 mm or less. The mouthpiece 10 for raising the hyoid bone is formed by preparing a plaster model of the user's upper or lower dentition, and bringing a flat resin sheet into close contact with the plaster model while heating and pressing. The resin sheet constituting the hyoid bone lifting mouthpiece includes an inner layer 11 made of a hard synthetic resin and coming into contact with the dentition, and an outer layer 12 made of a soft synthetic resin outside the inner layer 11.
